Digital is growing, but isn’t invincible

The advertising revenues of the four largest Web advertising companies (Google, Yahoo, Microsoft, and AOL) together represent the lion’s share of all online advertising revenues, a decent proxy for the market as a whole. In the second quarter of 2009, their combined global ad revenues were $7.864 billion, down 3.4 percent from a year ago.
